My Great E-Reader Debate!!!

I'm in a dilemma right now!!!

I want an e-reader so, so bad!  I'm normally a library kind of girl, but I have come to realize and acknowledge the possible benefits of digital reading.

I've gone to great lengths to secure a free e-reader with all the giveaways online; but now I am at the point of impatience.  I've saved up and I'm ready to buy.  But which one should I choose?  I want to make a great investment, but they all seem so wonderful.  If you have an e-reader, tell me its brand and why you would reccommend it over the other brands on the market.

Don't be shy, post below.

  1. I have three ereaders (yikes!) The first one I bought was a Nook first edition (with WiFi and 3G) and I fell in love with it. I ended up only wanting to read books via my Nook. I bought a Kobo ereader during Borders "Going Out of Business" for only $40. It's a pretty basic ereader (WiFi) but it does the job. Now, I've upgraded to a Nook Color because I got a great deal on a refurbished on. I haven't tried a Kindle or Sony or any other brands, but I can tell you the Nook and the Kobo are great ereaders and I'm happy with them.

  3. Oh, and that's alot of ereaders. Do you use them all? Also, which one is more durable (if any). I get clumsy sometimes. Thanks.

  4. I mainly use the Nook Color now, but if I find my charge is too low, I do have the option to go to the others. It doesn't happen often, though.

I think the Nook is probably more durable, although the Kobo is a pretty good ereader too.

  5. If you're a library girl then I think you should go with the Nook because you can check out e-books from your library with it. I have the Nook Color and I couldn't be happier. I like the versatility of epubs and at the beginning I liked being able to go into an actual store with questions I had on the device and talk to people who were more than happy to help me. Also, the apps are fun if I want to kill some time waiting. As to making a great investment, I don't know if that should be a criteria because like every piece of electronic equipment, six months after purchase something else/better comes along. Every day you delay is another day you have to wait so I'd say just make a decision and dive in!
