Novel Fashion Week- day 2
The Collection:
Let’s Talk Hair!

Your hair and therefore hair color is the ultimate accessory.  It’s the cherry adorning the top of your personal Fashion Sunday. It can and will make or break your entire ensemble, whether you’re a couture chica or punk princess. At this point you might be wondering who died and appointed me Hair Diva? The fact that I’m a Speaker, someone who understands all languages of all origins...that makes me THE Hair Diva and YOUR Devine Tresses Guru because I am fully fluent in the language of hair. Or you can call me Jenna. *waves * I’m also P.J. Stone’s BFF , but PUH-LEAZE don’t blame me for her blaze’ hair dos. Just because you have the tools at your disposal doesn’t necessarily mean they get properly used…me being the case in point. But I digress.

Today I’m going to share with you my top three hair rules.

1)Match your mood. When deciding what the next hue my do is going to metamorphasize into I ask myself this—“What mood am I in?” I mean, you don’t want to be rockin’ red if you’re not feeling particularly sultry. And you’re going to look just plain stupid if you decide platinum blonde is your shade of the week if you’ve been down lately. If you’re feeling blue then go blue. There is a reason why the expression uses the color. Announce to the world how you’re feeling so they can react accordingly. It’s just another way to use body language. It’s what I like to call “Hair-itude”.

2)Go big or go home. Once you’ve decided what family you want your color to be in, then decide the shade. And here’s a clue…go big! Go vibrant! Unless you fully commit to fashion, hair included, you don’t ware it…it wares you. So if you decide to go red…then go RED! Like fire engine red, or cherry jawbreaker red… Have fun! (I highly recommend the full line of Manic Panic if you want to play. I can say I’m never  disappointed with any of their shades. ) And no matter what shade you go for… Work it! Don’t let it work you!

3)Think about how your hair will look with nothing else on.  Whether you’re straight, gay, bi or some other new kind of sexuality that I’m not aware of yet (Hey it’s hard to say when I know aliens exist.) you need to be aware that your hair is your ultimate accessory for a reason. If all goes well in a day’s work then you may end up naked. What are you going to do then? Cling to your Fendi purse that compliments your eye color while you strip for your object of affection? Yeah, I didn’t think so. Your hair needs to compliment you and the rest of your birthday suit if you want it to really do its job. Make sure you’re hair doesn’t rely on your clothes to pull it off, or you’re screwed…or not screwed as the case may be.

Ultimately… Let your hair speak for you before you have the opportunity to open your mouth. Because if you do it wrong then you might not get to say anything at all. I’ll give you one last thing to ponder before I go… Marilyn Monroe was a blonde and Norma Jeane Mortenson was a brunette. Could Marilyn have been “Marilyn” as a brunette? Hmmm… I’ll let you decide that one for yourself.  So remember kiddies… The hair always has the first and last word in fashion!

Oh and before I forget! For those of you who are more visually inclined as opposed to verbally like myself, (Hello, I’m a Speaker!) I’ve given you a few outfits to feast your

peepers on for future “Hair-itude” inspiration. Here they are!

  8. I LOVE the hair in the end pic. Wish I was brave enough to try that. I like her advice, but her hair looks pretty normal to me.

  9. I love the advice, my hair has been a lot and lot of colours! Pink, purple, blue, red, browns, blacks and blonde. I love messing with my hair :D

  10. I love how Jenna's hair looks in the picture. I haven't had my hair any outrageous colors the past 2 years. I just like to dye it black nowadays.

  11. Jenna's got a fun attitude about hair! If I didn't worry about upkeep, I would dye my hair.

  12. OF COURSE! Hair always can grow back, let it speak loud and proud! I have always played with mine! I just dyed it again after leaving it alone for three years. I am 46 and it is purple, black and red, down to my butt!

  13. Hair is fun to play with and it shows the public just how much you care so shout. My hair is purple, red and black. It is down to my ass and I am 46. It is just hair, have fun! Say it LOUD and PROUD!

  14. Wow this is a really cool idea ! Love fashion week!!!
