The Collection:
Hello everyone! I'm delighted to be taking part in Novel Fashion Week! Naturally, the burning question that each of us has when it comes to fashion, is: What should you wear when going on the run from rogue faeries? I know it's kept me up at night. It's certainly a challenge for Kellen St. James and his Celtic goddess love, Calienta, in The Fallen Stars, the second book in The Star Child YA Paranormal Romance series.

What She Wore

Let's start with Calienta. You might think she can wear whatever she wants, being a goddess, but her status is about to change. Going on the run in your wedding dress isn't the best alternative, particularly when you're trying to keep a low profile. So Kellen picks up a pink hoodie and sweats from an airport shop. You can't see it, but embroidered on the back of the hoodie are the words "I Love Boston". This is appropriate since they happened to be in Logan airport at the time of the purchase.
"Grabbing the first thing I came across, I bought Cali a pink sweatshirt and matching sweatpants that read I LOVE BOSTON."
The Juicy Couture styling of this suit is slightly more posh than Cali would have had access to. However, Cali has never been known to miss a fashion opportunity, so why not rock some getaway sweats? There wasn't much time to find Cali a new pair of shoes, so she's sporting a pair of ballet flats from her almost-wedding in Ireland. However, this hip pair from Merlow Avenue is both comfy and stylish. It's just a shame they'll be getting dirty as she runs through the Maine woods at night. Think Maine in October is all foliage? It's also very cold. That's why this Canada Goose Down Parka from Rainbow Jeans is a perfect compliment to the rest of the ensemble.

What He Wore

Kellen St. James is just your average seventeen-year-old prodigy until he falls in love with a goddess who's been haunting his dreams and gets sucked into a world of Celtic prophecy. Having his wedding interrupted because of Faerie attack certainly doesn't add an element of calm to his life. So Kellen has to dress the part. For K's runaway moment, he chose a classic pair of men's American Eagle Outfitter, bootcut jeans. They're relaxed enough to be comfortable, but also tight in all the right places, which means they won't be getting snagged on all of those pine trees in Acadia National Forest.
"Despite the coat and comfortable jeans that I now wore, it was cold. Reaching over, I turned up the heat."
A Quicksilver men's Grizzly Bay shirt will keep that pale skin of his warm, as will the John Varvatos Shawl Cable Cardigan. Add to that, a pair of leather shoes of the same make and Mr. St. James is almost ready to run. Finally, a Barbour Fog Parka will complete the ensemble, ensuring Kellen avoids frostbite as he hunts evil forces and embraces his birthright.

When all is lost, he will have to make the ultimate decision. Kellen St. James was just your average seventeen-year-old prodigy, until he eighty-sixed the Lord of Faerie and proposed to the Celtic Goddess, Calienta. But then everything in Kellen’s life gets turned upside-down when he and Cali end up on the run from a seriously irritated group of faeries. The worst part? They have zero idea why they’re being hunted. Suddenly, Kellen is stuck in the middle of another prophecy that foresees him turning away from Calienta and embracing the dark. He’ll be forced to take sides in a struggle to claim his birthright, while discovering secrets about his father’s past. Meanwhile, his passion for Cali grows stronger, even as the prophecy threatens to tear them apart. In the end, will Kellen and Cali survive the fates? When the ultimate power is within reach, which side will he choose?"You will be in my dreams for the rest of my life.I will always want you."
