Born into a life of privilege and secrets, Nora Blakely has everything any nineteen-year-old girl could desire. She’s an accomplished pianist, a Texas beauty queen, and on her way to Princeton after high school. She’s perfect...
Leaving behind her million-dollar mansion and Jimmy Choos, she becomes a girl hell-bent on pushing the limits with alcohol, drugs, and meaningless sex.
Then she meets her soulmate. But he doesn’t want her.
When it comes to girls, twenty-five-year-old Leo Tate has one rule: never fall in love. His gym and his brother are all he cares about... until he meets Nora. He resists the pull of their attraction, hung up on their six year age difference.
As they struggle to stay away from each other, secrets will be revealed, tempers will flare, and hearts will be broken.
Welcome to Briarcrest Academy... where sometimes, the best things in life are Very Bad Things

I am on a roll with these New Adult contemporary Romances! Although I'm not sure if you consider this one YA or NA the hero is 25 I think and the heroine is 18 at first but she does turn 19, but she is still in high school, so really I'm not sure, but since I am such a fan of this book/romance I am going to say NA so I don't feel like the main character is a perv for being 25 and dating a highschooler.
Again this is A New Adult with more story than sex, and I have been trying to find more and more that focus on story line, and so far I've been rather successful! GO ME!

So we have rich girl Nora who is born into a well known family (The Blakely's) From Dallas Texas. Nora seems to be the perfect girl. Rich, smart with a IQ of 162, Class President, Debate team leader, Spelling bee champ, and Pageant winner (I may be forgetting something but I am not sure) Her mother is a news anchor and her father a hot shot lawyer. But if you scratch the surface and dig much deeper not everything is what it seems. Nora has been through a lot and she hides it all behind her beautiful winning smile.

Leo is a 25 year old man who had to grow up early after the death of his parents and take responsibility of his kid brother and his fathers gym. He does whats best for Sebastian, sells his gyms and pick up and moves him to Dallas for a better opportunity. His world comes crashing down when at Briar Academy (enrolling his brother) and he lays eyes on Nora Aka "Buttercup"

The romance at times can be a bit back and forth, but understandably so. Either way I love it! I love Nora. At first she is a bit annoying, but thats to be expected. She loses the person she is and has to find herself and it is a long bumpy path, but She does it and I loved watching her grow as a character.

Character: I love the characters! Sebastian is probably my favorite second character followed closely by sweet innocent Mila! I am hoping book 2 is based on one of those two characters (Fingers Crossed)

Duel POV, Hilarious, and can be a bit sad at times, but It never stays that way long. The authors writing style is wonderful and everything flowed together well and Characters developed wonderfully. I'm not by any means saying this is the BEST book out there, but if your in the mood for a good romance that goes a little deeper, but not totally sex crazed and nuts this book will be for you!

  1. Sounds fun. I like the difference in age. Something different for a change.
