Michael Gallo found his calling in life – he wants to kick ass. He works at Inked as a piercer, but spends his mornings training and dreaming of winning an UFC championship. Michael is the road to achieving his goal when a chance encounter alters his world forever. The title is no longer enough – he must capture the woman of his dreams.
Dr. Mia Greco is dedicated to saving lives and helping those less fortunate. She doesn’t have time to meet Mr. Right with her busy schedule. She buries herself in her work and helping humanity. Fate steps in and sweeps the carpet out from under her. She tries to deny the pull to him, a man that uses his fists for gain, but the universe won’t let her walk away so easy and Michael isn’t one to take no for an answer.
His past is filled with darkness and a secret that may rip them apart. There are forces bigger than them at work; drawing them in and making their worlds collide – not letting either one of them walk away.
**Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual situations, graphic language, and material that some readers may find objectionable.**

Michael Gallo helps run his families tattoo shop, Inked. He runs the front desk and is the shops piercer. His number one love is fighting. He is an MMA fighter and trains hard. He dreams of becoming an UFC Champion. His mother hates that he fights. She is scared for her baby and would love for him to focus on something else to love. Michael is not a relationship kind of guy so he has a NO STRINGS attached policy. But recently Michael broke off the no strings attached relationship he had with Tammy after seeing a crazy side of her and now she is obsessed with him. She is texted him every 5 minutes and won't acknowledge that what they had was just sex. Now he has to block her from his phone just to have a minute of peace.

Dr. Mia Gallo is a smart ER doctor. She likes to help others in need. In her free time she volunteers at a free clinic in another part of town. She loves working at the clinic and wishes there was more for her to do to help them. There is not enough money for them to even get new equipment much less pay her to work there full-time. But her dream is just that to be able to work at the clinic and run it full-time. Mia hates working at the hospital in the ER. Mia has nightmares constantly from all the trauma she sees coming into the ER. And the patients lives she cannot save haunt her dreams. Mia has no extra time to date and really has no desire too. She is just always disappointed.

After about a week of no Tammy. Michael is feeling a little better about that situation. After one of Michael's fights he needs some medical attention. Michael goes to the ER and Mia is sent in to help him. She is horrified that men do this on purpose to their bodies. They spend their time hurting each other while she spends her time fixing them back up. It is a vicious cycle.

After Michael is all healed up and given the OKAY to start training again (about 6 weeks later) he runs into Mia outside his gym. They shake it off not really remembering how they know each other. Then, they run into one another again at a club that same evening. They have some electric chemistry and some flirtation going on. They make a date to see each other again.

They start dating and things are looking pretty good even though their schedules are pretty scattered all over the place and it makes it hard to see each other. Tammy is now in full blown psycho mode and tries to break up Mia and Michael by telling Mia that Michael and her are engaged. The plan starts to work for a little while but Mia sees more and more CRAZY coming through and starts to question Tammy's sanity and that of her story.

Now Michael must prove that Tammy is lying and convince Mia. The only way to do that is to make Tammy think he is going back to her. Now Tammy is throwing the relationship in Mia's face and Mia is devastated.

Nice read and a smooth story. Not to crazy. The couple had some ups and downs but for the most part just a nice laid back romance.

My only criticism is that Chelle Bliss already did the PSYCHO girlfriend thing in Kayden: The Past. And even though it is a different series they did intersect characters in Throttle (Book #1) with Kayden and Joe's characters. I am very interested in continuing this series. I am just hope that this will not be repeated throughout the series and there is another issue to focus on besides the psycho ex angle.

RATING: 3 1/2 STARS

Happy Reading.
