Of Triton (The Syrena Legacy #2)
Hardcover, 246 pages
Published May 28th 2013 by Feiwel & Friends
Emma has just learned that her mother is a long-lost Poseidon princess, and now struggles with an identity crisis: As a Half-Breed, she’s a freak in the human world and an abomination in the Syrena realm below. Syrena law states that all Half-Breeds should be put to death.
As if that’s not bad enough, her mother’s reappearance among the Syrena turns the two kingdoms—Poseidon and Triton—against one another. Which leaves Emma with a decision to make: Should she comply with Galen’s request to keep herself safe and just hope for the best? Or should she risk it all and reveal herself—and her Gift—to save a people she’s never known?
Once again, Anna Banks infuses Emma and Galen's points of view with humor, intrigue, and waves of romance.
If I could use one word to sum this book up, it would be DRAMA!
Drama Drama Drama! I can't think of another perfect word for this book, I can't even get the word Drama out of my head while thinking about the book. Seriously, Mean Girls has nothing on Of Triton. But, I enjoy drama, action, and adventure and this book definitely had all three
I was REALLY surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Usually the second book in the series (or from what I have experienced) is mediocre or a total flop, but my expectations were definitely exceeded. I had a few issues with the book such as: at times the anticipation built up so much that it was annoying that the author wouldn't get to the point. It sort of drug in some areas and I was lost in others,
I don't really want to give too much away because this is a sequel and if you haven't read the first, then I would definitely spoil a lot. Literally, I can't even give away the beginning without spoiling the end of Of Poseidon and book 2 picks up exactly where book 1 left off.
I wont recommend this book to everyone, I know a lot of people I wouldn't recommend this series to, but if your into fun, nothing too serious, light reads, with lots of drama then I definitely recommend this series to you!
I will review book 3 Of Neptune when I get it in :)
