Once best friends, now strangers: Second chances don't come along often. Indulge in heat, ink, and romance in the third book of the NYT Bestselling Montgomery Ink Series. Meghan Montgomery-Warren thought she knew what love was when she’d married young and had two children. After years of being emotionally beaten down, her husband has finally left her and now she’s forced to find her way once again. Somehow she needs to find the person she used to be and figure that the strength she had thought she had lost was always there.
Luc Dodd left Denver and his best friend Meghan when he was forced to watch her walk down the aisle with another man. He might have only been her best friend, but he held his true emotions close to the vest. Now he’s back in town and in Meghan’s life. Only he needs to decide if that’s enough for him…and her. Their journey from friends to lovers is a slow burn of seduction and pain. When Meghan’s past comes back to haunt them both, the two of them will have to stand closer together or be torn apart by their own misgivings forever.

Luc Dodd has been in love with his best friend for some time now. He had to leave Denver so he was not forced to watch her in another man's arms. A man he did not approve of and did not like.

Meghan Montgomery married young. But in the process lost her best friend. Meghan has never really known the reason that Luc left her behind all those years ago.

After many different cities and many different jobs Luc has moved back to Denver. Upon his arrival Luc has found out that Meghan is getting divorced. This book starts 1 year after Luc's arrival back in town and Meghan and her husband split up.

They were cordial to one another. That is all the Meghan could offer Luc after he broke her heart years ago and left her on her wedding day. Luc wants to be friends with Meghan again but knows he has to earn her trust back that they once had. They had been best friends. Luc was sure he could get at least the friendship back.

Luc thought that he was over his love for Meghan but he was wrong. Meghan does not know what is wrong with her. Getting to know the man Luc has become after all this time is doing strange things to her hormones and her thoughts. She is wondering has Luc always been this sexy, were his lips always so kissable looking...

After weighing their pros and cons for becoming MORE THAN FRIENDS both Meghan and Luc decide to take a chance on LOVE.

Meghan must get over the verbal abuse of her ex-husband and the doubts he embedded in her head from their years of marriage. Meghan has to TRUST again and Luc is counting on that trust being in him. Luc will be there for Meghan whatever she needs and Luc is falling madly in love with her two beautiful children.

After some ups and downs with Meghan's ex and Luc's sister Tessa the couple maneuver their way through obstacles all the while trying to keep their hold on one another.

Another great story from Carrie Ann Ryan. I like that Luc came clean to Meghan about why he left Denver. And I absolutely love Luc's relationship with Sasha. I am wondering if Tessa's true feelings of why she dislikes Meghan will come out later. It cannot just be the past.

The next installment will focus on Griffin and I am super excited about that. I found Griffin very intriguing even though there has not been a lot about him yet. I guess the fact that his career is so different from the other family members and yet still artistic while being more of an intellectual, draws me to this character. See you in October 2015 for Written in Ink (Book #4)
